Position : Proof-reader
Projects : ALL

Qualifications :
* Experience not needed but encouraged.
* A good knowledge of the English language- and I do mean the English language. All standards of it... American, Britain, Aussie... every little thing helps.
* Not required to know Japanese/Chinese/Korean, but it is however, encouraged.
* Good comprehension skills.
* Able to read a sentence and be able to tell what the meaning is and be able to change how it's worded without changing the meaning.
* Understanding the flow of a script is to be consistent. Any sentence that suddenly and abruptly breaks the flow should be looked at and considered for alterations and if it can't be changed alter the sentences around it to flow with it.
* Slang is acceptable if the translator wants to have it in there, but proofers do not have any direct rights to alter the script to include it because he wants to include it. Any sentences that *must* change context to make sense should be run past a translator or have gotten a second opinion on the change from someone in charge.
*You don’t need to have any image editing program. You just need a text program like MS Word, Notepad, etc.

*NOTE* We accept trainees...it takes practice to perfect a skill, so we won't turn you away....that's why we have editors...to help train you.

Hello, I would like to follow the above instructions but there's nothing there. Regardless, I'd like to apply for a proofreader position. I am fluent in English (and Spanish, if it counts for anything) and you can test me however you like. I can work any day, every day consistently until fall. On a side note, I can technically also do editing work (I tried starting my own group and translating from Japanese, but it was a miserable failure...) although I am still a beginner. Please take me into consideration, and thank you for your time.

Thank you! I also saw that you need cleaners, and I can clean... sort of. :3

Yeah, failing is never fun, but it does feel great to start from scratch. ;o I can get to work whenever you need me to. I do go to school from 8AM to 3PM so that's my only limit until I start college in the fall.

Coolio. You have to take a cleaner test first. Give me a minute to post it in the cleaning section. I'm still working on the site and forum. So things will be a little slow at first cuz I'm like doing 6 different things at once. :)

No problem. Feel free to email me whenever there's something to be done.

I'll give that cleaning test a shot, no promises. I'm still pretty much a newbie.
